Human Anatomy
Human anatomy represents a spectrum from molecular structures to those visible with the naked eye (gross or macroscopic). In this course we'll be dealing with anatomy from the cellular to gross anatomic level. There will be an emphasis on gross anatomy which is clinically relevant (it's more than you might think). At the end of this course the student will have a firm grasp of human anatomy and understand how it relates to function (physiology) and disease (pathology). Considerable emphasis will be given to current imaging techniques of anatomy and pathology.
It is highly recommended that the designated chapters be read before class. Doing so will give the student a knowledge base that will then be supplemented by the class experience. Pop quizzes worth extra credit given prior to the lectures will add to the grade as well as knowledge base.
And then . . . this should be fun too.
